The thing is if it was an undisputed classic there would be no need to try and justify why it is one lool...It's the op's opinion but I wont accept it as fact

Actually, you do need to qualify it. A lot of albums people call classics were called this AFTER the fact because calling things "classic" is a relatively new thing used to discern good music since rap is so competitive. Its all subjective at the end of the day, but since rap and thus rap fans are so competitive, they try to use any standard to say what the "best" music out is.

Drake is certainly talented and can absolutely rap. He didn't release a single last year and still MURDERED all his guest features to the point where he was at or near the top of several "best verses" lists.

Say what you want, but outside of Kanye and maybe Lil Wayne here and there, no one is taking as many risks with their music as Drake is.

Nas had a great album and so did many others but...you know its gonna take more than that to win sometimes.

Hip-Hop Since '79
Im an old head (33), grew up on that gritty, hip hop sound, but I must admit, Drake really captures emotion and holds nothing back. He understands that women like sex just as much as us mens, and we shouldnt call them whores for that. We all have pasts and dont want to be crucified for them. He sees life in reality, not a fantasy, but never loses the hope for fantasy. You can wear timbs or a snuggie, and be dressed appropriately for Take Care.

Drake, I wish you could read this, but I want you to know, we take heed to your advice on life and love:blessed:

First all this album has the most quality and attention to detail put in album in long time (if ever)

No Verse, beat, sample or hook is wasted. All of them have a purpose and impact.

This album has Quality lyrics, Production, hooks and sequence.

The album has Anthems, Club songs, Introspective songs and headphone music.

Drake deals with every single emotion on this album.

This album has quotable for days and every single tore up the charts.

Impact, Innovation whatever qualities you give a classic album "Take Care" has it.

It was release with some heavyweights (WTT & C1V) and outshined them considerably.

There is no consesus on the best song on the album because every song is complete different experience.

Now let me hear about a whole bunch of shyt that has nothing to do with music(he's soft, he's a jew, the machine behind me, He sings about women, etc) on why this album is not a Masterpiece

I liked Take Care, but leaving out cuts like Club Paradise, Free Spirit, and Dreams Money Can Buy takes out out of the "classic" (ugh) argument imo. A lot of Drake's best music he doesn't even put on albums.

Serious question cause I've never heard it. How many r & b songs (no rapping) are on this album?

Japan, but from the 989
My main reason for disagreeing that "Take Care" is a not a classic album is based on the fukkery that occurred on "Practice". That's it. A singing version of Back that Azz up!?!? Naw....Sorry..

You want a proper rebuttal? Here.

Lyrical Content:
Drake has a weird obsession with strippers. His music is meant to be heartfelt but he spends it pining for strippers explicitly. Furthermore, for an album that has 19 or so songs it's about the same thing and it gets monotonous. It's like he's telling you a story but he rarely concludes or sets a proper setting, so it's just one long diatribe.

One Paced Production:
I love 40's beats but once again, the album rarely shifts gears... and it is a LONG album, 79 minutes. The length of the album also highlights his vocal weaknesses. His lack of range vocally and thematically gets tiring.

With Take Care, 11 songs cover what he wants to talk about and he made another 7 which basically repeat the sentiment. A lot of the songs, whilst not being filler, simply don't stand out. Make no statement another song hasn't already made.

There's also a lack of Classic songs.

Good album but not a classic for me.

Super on point. It was too long and dark/simp. I applaud him achieving what he said he wanted to do (make an album sounding like one long song), but if it was 13-14 songs it'll be different. Like u said 11 songs got his point across its a chore to listen to.

Plus for me personally I was expecting a much different project based on what Drake was saying that summer.
