Whether "HipHop" agrees or not "Take Care" is a classic album.

It is a mystery

"First all this album has the most quality and attention to detail put in album in long time (if ever)"

Above is literally the first line of this topic
Take Care having potentially the most attention to detail & quality in any album ever.
I get saying ridiculous shyt when in stan mode (it can be fun), but mad people agreed with it WTF
Each and every breh that agreed with this statement should never provide a musical opinion ever again.
If you claim "i didn't read that part" it's the first line. And people wonder how so many people get swindled out of their money through shady contracts when no one reads what they are agreeing to:snoop:

I don't see how this can be disputed :yeshrug:

This was Drake at the top of his game and in the element that suits him best. Everything else he's done has been uneven to me in terms quality, but this was just an amazing album from start to finish. Easily one of the best albums of the 2010s.

Even in hindsight, classic album

This album still knocks 4 yrs later & was the perfect collection of songs to capture that time period

Production was top notch & album was cohesive in general

To me, the quality of Take Care is undeniably A1. My problem is some cuts were just pure filler. Also he had too many R&B sounding joints on there, Drake is best to me when he can properly balance the two aspects on the album. There is less than five songs where he is actually rapping his ass off, and the album seems to overstay its welcome. If he would've put more cuts like UGK, over my dead body or Lord Knows, the album would've been classic to me. Because of the filler I have to give it a 7/10:francis:. It's one of those albums that really perplexes me, it had so much potential to be a masterpiece:wow:. In my opinion, so far gone remains his best project.

The World, but from BK
Personal classic to me. I dunno but this shyt came out in 2011 when I used to go back and forth to Toronto a lot to see my ex and this album captured the mood out there perfect. I remember walking one morning around the fashion district out there on Spadina ave and "Over My Dead Body" came on the iPod on shuffle and that shyt just had me like :ohhh: at the vibe it captured. The good ol' Toronto days.

Thick and fat are not the same, just as a well put together album and classic are not the same.

Take Care was a a great collection of songs, but attention to detail, varied song types and emotions don't make an album a classic.

While vision is a part of it, cultural impact and movements are what cross into classics. A song or album can be trash lyrically or have a bad beat and be a classic.

nikkas really sitting around reminiscing about when this dropped? I can't call it classic alone because of that rainbow anthem which is THE TITLE TRACK.

Its not an exceptional piece of work like MBDTF, it doesn't have a song ring off 12 times like WTT, it doesn't fuse styles and themes like TPAB and its not even his best album. This does not deserve to sit next to illmatic. Crew Love, UG Kings, We'll Be Fine and Lord Knows are great songs though.

Consensus rules and It has been stamped as a classic for reasons beyond it's quality (The fact that Drake has been the top dude since & it being his best effort, lowered bar etc) but it's not anything that following generations are going to revisit. Half the album is unlistenable to me, either because of how extremely feminine the tracks are or how dated they sound, and it's only been 4 years.

We'll be fine is hard to listen to now imo, it one of those Drake bangers that has aged badly, make me proud being the worst.
