Somewhere tropic...
I stayed at the Hilton in downtown Manhattan a few years ago. Everything is walking distance from there.

Also how much will it run you to get a taxi or travel from Newark to NY. Virgin airlines don't go to. JFK apparently
A lot...going to Newark isn't as bad, but from the airport it's always more since they know people are stuck. It's really easy to take the train...Will get you from Newark to Penn Station then you can cab to the hotel from there. Or, take a shuttle bus. There one that goes directly from Newark to Manhattan (drops you off at three separate locations)...it's like $25 for a return ticket or something.

Nearer the times I need to ask about how to manouver around Queens and Brooklyn. Rappers have told me all my life these places are grimy . I ain't tryna go to the wrong parts :sas2:

I'm going from like the 15th Sept. I'm guessing sports are in off season then. What dope shyts happening around that time, if you know?

I know NY fashion week is on around that time. Maybe bump into my niqqa Yeezy.

You can alway stay in NJ and use the hotel's free shuttle to get to Times Square. It's a lot cheaper

Staying at a hotel in Times Square will put you in Mid-Town Manhattan where you can walk to popular places or be close to buses or subway stops.
If you stay elsewhere, it will add time to get around to the popular tourist places and cost a bit more to get there too.
Me, I'm cheap. I am okay with staying way outside the city and taking the Metro North commuter train down into Penn Station, which puts me in Mid-Town Manhattan. For some, that train ride adds an hour of one-way commute time and degrades from the NYC experience. So my suggestion for you would be to not take any commuter trains in, NJ Transit from Northern New Jersey or Long Island Railroad. All the trains meet up at Penn Station.
