I still can't believe he dove into the clinch like that smh.
If you wanna lose the fight there's other ways smh
you could lose by decision and not let a man take ya back and choke the fukking breath from your lungs
you could maybe... WIN and then retire on a high note instead of allegedly throwing the fight and then wondering why your coaches bailed on you (it was despicable his coaches dipped on him but I can see why they did it).
Whatever venture he has next I wish him luck, but that was a shytty, shytty last fight.
tell yourself you can grapple with one of the greatest wrestlers ever seen in the division brehs.

WEIDMAN TRIED TO GET THAT DQ...
TOLD THE DOCS HE COULDNT CONTINUE....

DOCS FOUND OUT THE KNEE WAS LEGAL
AND SAID HE SAID HE COULDNT CONTINUE...
 TKO

Poetic justice man, I hate the way fighters do that shyt. To finally see it backfire especially on a jingoistic NY poster boy who once was so desperate to legitimize his dusty win (over a legend) that he proclaimed he trained all camp to break his opponent's shin using the "dominator" :snoop: Saturday fight was just :blessed:always a pleasure to see weidman lose

Well clearly Rumble tanked on purpose. Very obvious with between him ignoring his corner plus his interview to retirement. No real reason to analyze the fight at all.

Honestly, after watching Rumble mentally implode in a fight where he probably could have won just by waiting for the broken nose to take full effect...I'd be most curious about Cormier fighting the new tactical Overeem. Dude is evasive, just as tricky a striker and if Cormier tries to play clinch game to gas Alistair the knees to the body could be a game changer. DC needs to take that second L to Jones and then move back up to HW where there are interesting opponents.

The way Cormier acts when he wins sort of indicates someone that doesn't believe they are the best. He's a grinder and he knows AJ has cardio issues, AJ does him a solid by grappling and gasses. He ends up subbing him via AJ surrendering then he immediately pops up and struts like he thinks he's a G. That's how u act when you have no self belief not the actions of someone that truly believes they are p4p #1.

Which tells me against a more dynamic fighter he would probably fade the longer the fight went. His weight cuts and age have to have a knock on effect on his cardio (same feelings I have about cyborg but I digress). I just wish Jones had enough time to get a tune up as this would be the best chance Cormier has to beat him..

We've never seen him in deep waters so we really can't comment on his heart. I just know he came up short in Olympic trials i know he cried when he got outclassed by jones which is fine. But his conduct and utterances since winning the belt on technicality (and action at the weigh in) indicates he'd gladly take the short cut and convince himself he persevered in the face of adversity

Kind of cringed in the countdown for his fight with aj when he made out his will and determination is what eventually made him champion after the loss to Jones should have destroyed him. No Jones stupidity got you another title shot and you lucked out stylistically against a dude who is 1 dimensional and has no cardio. The division has been gutted and even at its best AJ already beat anyone in the division with a lick of wrestling
