i can see how the ref (and weidman) would've thought it was an illegal knee, it was really close and obviously would be extremely tough to call in real-time and without instant replay but wtf man...i don't understand why they called it after they realized it was fair game. it just seems like such a weird-ass way to end the fight. hopefully they figure this shyt out so it doesn't happen again.
