When that Thai restaurant owner talked shyt about the Sandy Hook incident, nikkas was in threads saying they didn't give a fukk, either.....nobody got banned for that
When it was alleged that Paul Mooney said whites deserved to die in the Boston bombings, nikkas was saying they didn't give a fukk about the victims, either (even though it wasn't confirmed at the time that Mooney actually said it)......nobody got in trouble for that
The only time someone got banned from those discussions is when they became blatantly offensive and obnoxious with it, and were clearly trolling
So why should anyone here get in problems for droppin' "nikkas die erryday" for this incident......especially if that's how they really feel? Especially when (and I can't believe how much this is getting overlooked) nobody died (at least so far)?
You say you don't care about Sandy Hook, Boston, etc.? That's cool......my problem isn't with nikkas not caring about the white victims in those events. Personally, I think it's a sad way to view and react to events like these, through the lens of race, but if that's how you wanna see it then do you......my problem is the hypocrites who shrug off white victims and go "cacs gonna cac" when some white dude kills a bunch of people......then they bytch when something happens to black people and the media doesn't cover it as much as they think it should be covered. Those types in particular really need to keep their mouths shut.

Breh, the sooner you realize the media exploits people's feelings about race the better off you gonna be. There is no money to be made in black on black violence as far as the media is concerned. They won't get the same viewership or clicks on their websites. But if it were black on white, or white on black, then the race angle is there for them to exploit on both sides of the fence.
Even to non-racist people, stories or headlines that involves race becomes much more intriguing. That's just the way this country is breh.

the media loves the story of the minority who made it if anyone today is being attacked by media its white southerners and tea party members
highlighting black on black violence would in their eyes cause racism if they highlight it
but then again my theory could be bullshyt since well white girls go missing and its front page news black girls go missing and people in the neighborhood probably don't even know
media bias is tough to pinpoint since some of it is just industry standards and copycat syndrome where everyone is trying to get the scoop on the hot story and what they percieve will get ratings...are there biases? You damn right they are, are they intentional or just natural biases based on the personality types that control the news ie priviliged white educated liberals who are filled with white guilt

In my opinion it's an example of things not registering with certain demographics until it finally hits home. Most upper middle class to middle class white Americans can't relate to gang violence, and they can't relate to blacks or hispanics murdering each other, but when they feel like their way of life is threatened, that's when they start to fear things like gun violence posing an imminent threat to them.
They can't relate to poor black/hispanic kids killing each other, but if a classroom of cute little white kids is killed in a classroom in suburban Connecticut, the suburb where they lived looks like the suburb where they live, the slain children look JUST like their children, they see a disturbing parallel and they realize if it could happen there then the possibly of it happening where they live exists.

Because the media expects that from nyggas. Outrage for what??? This happens in the black community more than it should. I want outrage from our people, action on our part. No one cares about the community anymore...a lot of people, including me at times care more about what our family and personal property and turn a blind eye to the violence.
No one is going to like this answer but its the straight no nonsense truth.
1) Its New Orleans and due to the high crime rate, the immediate reaction of EVERYONE is to assume that shootings are just a normal part of everyday life. This is a race neutral bias in America.
2) Because it involves the Black community, and this ties back to 1 this leads to the belief that again...this is a normal everyday occurrence for black communities across the country and is not considered "Breaking News". This has more Racial biases than 1. but, tbh, I'm tempted to say this is also a race neutral issue because as already stated, black people are just as quick and likely to make the same assumptions themselves.
As a result, people don't care because as a result of a collective view that the black COMMUNITY is prone to violence, then no one individual in the black community is ever viewed as an individual victim. I hope that makes sense without sounding offensive. Its not a moral judgment as just a statement of observation.
I think that is the short and long of it. I don't think its any deeper than that.
