This is the part that most 3rd party advocates don't get. Saying "fück both sides" doesn't keep either of them from winning, and certainly doesn't give you what you want.

You can't "opt out" of the two-party system if you don't have enough support to do so, especially in a presidential race. Not to mention that the EC makes any discussion of a serious 3rd party challenger completely moot.
