Something just didn't naturally click chemistry wise with them, it was a feud that may have looked better on paper than in reality. I liked their match at in your house "a cold day in hell" and the Summerslam 98 match tho.

The Highway to Hell build/feud was good, IMO. The match itself was pretty good and could've been better if Austin didnt get knocked silly in the beginning of it. ( If I remember right this was the match where UT/Austin banged heads and Austin was out of it for the some of the match)

Their feuds in '99 with all the satanic shyt was ok but the matches werent because IIRC, Taker was working hurt during that year.

The face vs heel feud I enjoyed more. Their Summer 99 feud was great especially the First Blood match at Fully Loaded.

I actually thought their feud later on was MUCH better, when Undertaker was the american badass and Stone Cold was heel with HHH, SCSA was hilarious during this.

Their matches weren'tt great, but the 99 feud with Ministry Taker was classic and one of the few heels credible enough to make Austin seem like an underdog.

Ministry Taker was too gully.

Am I the only one who thought Austin shouldn't have been able to go over Taker back then? :yeshrug:

one of the worst book by the numbers or russo over the top booking failed storylines of the atttitude era.

if not for wcw being so inept to capitalize,....

this complete go to feud could have spelled disaster for wwe at any given time.

undertaker was/is scsa worst all time feud and poorly booked top nemesis.

it never even looked good on paper.

as tsker never had the chops inring to even hang with sting in wcw as mean mark.

let alone the protege and prodigal son of flair in austin.

just a total clusterfukk and if not for being a diehard fan at the time.

i could have easily turned the channel or atopped watching wwf.

when ever the feud was made the go to feud, just because.

one of the all time worst feud poor booking decisions because of wwf's failure to build enough me stars at the time.

scsa should never have been inring with taker.

plus,....tsker should have been humanized as a character way earlier.

the poor idea and character interaction of the higher power.

plus taker becoming neutered by vkm in the angle.

also spoke volumes about what a poorly reused concept tsker was during that era as well.

the higher power was the black scorpion but worse.

thp, just occurred at a hot time in the company. where it was able to gloss over that period like it never happened.

luckily that is hoe it played out. as it could have took all the wind out of the sails of the attitude erA.

from being so low in quality,...

luckily it didn't,..yet, imo, the higher power and scsa/tsker numerous feuds.

lead to the oversaturstion and exposal of the inept booking. that was looked over during the attitude era.

so when,....hhh went over at mania2000.

that created the slippery slope the wwf eventually slid down to where we are now. with no possible hope of re-righting the wrongs of the past.

I'm a big fan of both, but their feud was not very memorable. I just remember Austin being crucified. And the First Blood match. Someone mentioned a Buried Alive match, oh shyt forgot about that. I might have to YouTube that one.
