Wasn't Vince high on Big E at one point?...I'm torn. I'm happy for their success and that they were able to get over with the gimmick but if this doesn't push any of them to main event status it won't mean much. Big E definitely is showing that he's main event talent.

Vince McMahon is said to be very high on Big E Langston these days and is all for pushing him to the top. However, Triple H has suggested that they take things with a slower approach, letting Langston work off Dolph Ziggler for as long as possible. It should be noted that Vince McMahon is not the only strong supporter of Langston. Current WWE Champion John Cena has been “looking out” for Langston ever since he got called up to the main roster. Cena has basically taken Langston under his wing and has been grooming him “every step of the way.” Both Cena and Langston train together on the road and Cena has turned Big E. into a “personal project” to make sure that Langston is a future headliner. Currently, Big E Langston has more support than any other new guy on the roster.
We noted two weeks ago that Big E Langston’s commentary during a Dolph Ziggler vs. Damien Sandow match was not well received backstage and the feeling he was uncomfortable. It was reported that some officials do not want Big E to do his comedy because they feel it takes away from his character and makes him look like a joke. At the same time, other people in the company feel Big E should show more of the character he had in NXT.
Well Big E was back on commentary at the Slammys RAW and once again the feeling was that he was out of place. This time Vince McMahon was upset at the creative team. Apparently Vince had given the OK for Langston to do some comedy but creative didn’t get the memo. Regarding Big E, one source commented, “he played robot once again.”
Keller: But Hunter a year ago was debating Vince McMahon. Hunter saying "I like Roman" and Vince was saying "I like Big E". I mean clearly, Roman is way ahead of him now but...I mean not that Vince wasn't for Roman but Vince's big project was Big E at that moment...
