They were a good team that clicked and got hot during the playoffs. Definitely not a top 10/20 team. If Derek Fisher's 0.4 shot doesnt happen they wouldnt have gotten a title because Detroit wouldnt have beaten San Antonio that year

The 05 Pacers were a better version of the 04 pistons

They won because of a combination of things that went right

Then why did they compete at conference finals for 1 or 2 years before that, and 4 years after that?

The pistons were not a fluke team and were a few shots from going back to back.

In my life theyre better than the rockets, the spurs other than 05, and they could compete with any finals team really. I mean, the 96 sonics won 2 games against chicago...the pistons were better than them...
