This, I fukk with Roddy but the dude has no sound/personality of his own. When I first heard him I thought he was from Atlanta, and was surprised he's an LA dude.

The Grammies happen in Feb and I’m sure was cancelled the covid year.
So he had to wait essentially 14 months for his album to finish the circuit
Then to top it off. This meant they delayed release of any of his music during covid. So he got lapped by durk n nem
Then when fe finally dropped. Music had changed

Though I never thought he was anything special anyway (he’s apart of that whiny sing songy genre that should’ve been died off), he had undeniable hits and it’s crazy that it feels like it didn’t even happen only 3-4 years later. He would do 2024 Chingy numbers if he dropped a project now.
