went from top 10 to not mentioned at all

meanwhile HBGOAT went from Mr. WrestleMania to Mr. Hall of Fame and is still cakin off them 'E checks :blessed:

that special contract he has which he says is not like any other contract, i think the cokeboy sends him blank checks and lets him take what he wants

Breh, it's HBGOAT and King Kurtis. Of course the match is a classic. Until Punk came around, HBGOAT made Cena look a million times better than he is. Not a knock on Cena, just proves the awesomeness that is HBGOAT. :lawd:

:mjplz: Please choose thine words more carefully when speaking on Michael Shawn HickenGOAT, kind sir.

5 star matches. HBGOAT and Angle matches were things of beauty, they worked so well with each other. Nothing like watching greats work at peak performance. :to:
Michaels wasn't even at his peak though :wow: never be another like him :lawd:

Not to sound rude, but if you would, please list to me, in your own opinion, King Kurtis' Top 5 Matches, and I would then be able to retort with HBGOAT's Top 5.

In no particular order:

Kurt/Benoit @ Royal Rumble 03
Kurt/HBK @ WM 21
Kurt/Shane @ KOTR 2001
Kurt/Taker @ No Way Out 06
Kurt/Benoit @ WM 17

My HBK ones would be:

HBK/Mankind @ Mind Games
HBK/Kurt @ WM 21
HBK/Taker @ Bad Blood
HBK/Taker @ WM 25
HBK/Jericho @ WM 19

It's close, but King Kurtis shades it for me. Then you got:

Kurt/Rey @ Summerslam 02
Kurt/Benoit vs Edge/Rey @ No Mercy 02
Kurt/Benoit @ Backlash 01
Kurt/Benoit @ Unforgiven 02
Kurt/Austin @ Summerslam 01
Kurt/Lesnar @ WM 19
Kurt/Lesnar @ Summerslam 03
Kurt/Lesnar @ Smackdown (Iron Man)
Kurt/Rock @ No Way Out 01
Kurt/Eddie @ WM 20
Kurt/HBK @ Vengeance 05

HBK/Shelton @ Raw 04
HBK/Razor @ WM X
HBK/Kurt @ Vengeance 05
HBK/HHH/Benoit @ WM 20
HBK/Flair @ WM 24
HBK/Cena @ Raw 07
HBK/HHH @ Summerslam 2002
HBK/Jericho @ <some PPV I forget> in 2008

Two of the GOATS :blessed:

Match was GREAT, and a wrestling classic... their chemistry was undeniable. I thought their Ironman match on Raw was great too. It's funny that the Ironman match was promoted as the "rubber match" to break the tie in their series, but it ended up in a draw and was never talked about again :dwillhuh:...us fans never got closure :sadbron:

It makes you wonder how many more classics that two would have had together, had Kurt not left for TNA and the feud was revisited years later like HBK/Jericho was.

No, they did have a "blow off" of some sort. Back in January 2006, right after Kurt won the WHC on Smackdown, Mr. McMahon booked a non-title match the following RAW between Michaels and Angle. HBK I think got the win after some shenanigans by Davari, who was the spurned heel manager that Kurt left since Kurt became babyface again after he won the belt. :yeshrug:

What was his peak? That ironman match with Bret :heh:

May sound weird a hell but his peak as a wrestler was before his first retirement (pre-injury) even though he had better matches (due to much better talent) in his second run.
