I thought his character stuff mostly sucked and the less storylines/promo he did, the better.
But, he could wrestle, especially hardcore style. He's not on any all tine list for me, but I do consider him a solid contributor to TNAs prime.

abyss is the same level of untapped chemistry that the big show is, but better in every possible way.

I would make a tv show where big show plays a working man and abyss is his neighbor. Both are married. Big show gets to show off his awesome taste in women. Where they both have a family and wala....you got an interesting show with both playing grasroots guys who have to keep working.
to pay and afford a world. they are to big, to be properly accommodated by.
from growing pains to buying a bed.
to acquiring adequate shelter because of height and stature.

To be fair I liked Abyss when I first discovered him. The Black Hole slam was legit but he definitely should've jumped ship especially if the rumored Taker match had any validity. He became something of a swiss army knife of a performer doing what was asked of him, but he had shaky booking and was a dud champion. He's in that weird realm that The Big Show is in objectively they were superior wrestler and performers who had better careers with longevity but the other big men were superstars and not all over the place as a characters or threats.
