he just outside of the top 5 for me

Rondo
Rose
Russy
DWill
CP3

that is in no order.

Parker is 6th

Westbrick ain't better than Parker. 5.5 assists and 45% shooting. :noah:

thats interesting because Russy averages more assists per game than Parker does in his career. This is actually the first season Parker averaged over 7 assists a game.

Parker is a not as athletic version of Rose and Russy

The Spurs do have better weapons, but you know Ginobili missed about half the season right? In fact, Parker's assists went down when Ginobili came back as they always do when he's healthy because Ginobili is a really a co-PG who usually covers the primary ball-handling duties when he's in the game. Just wanted to clarify that.

my point wasnt just his season, it was over the span of his career.

people talking replace parker with rose whatever

like if rose went to the spurs they wouldnt have been the same exact dynasty, hell probably better.

at the end of the day though, parker is in my top 5 i take him over nash, rondo easily. only pg i think might shake my top 5 up is irving. dude has a real shot at being the best pg in the league period.

my only argument is people making some case that against rose, westbrook as if tony parker aint more like them, then he is nash rondo or who people consider a "pure" point guard.

for me its all good either way, he did what it took to win.

but to say put parker on the bulls as if he really would have made them better than what rose made them is reaching a bit.

We're talking about right now. And Parker isn't any type of version of Westbrook. They have different styles of play. Westbrook is basically a 2. He just looks to score and passes when he's doubled or runs into traffic in the lane. Parker is playing more like a "pure PG" this year, seeing things before they happen and setting up plays. Westbrook is a more athletic scorer who finishes stronger and can get his jumpshot off easier. Parker has more moves in the lane and the teardrops and floaters. Neither is any version of the other.

I gots him barely outside of the top 5 behind Rondo. Parker is the better scorer and shooter than Rondo, but as a pure point guard and all around play, I'm going with Rondo>Parker.
Rose
CP3
Westbrook
D-Will
Rondo
Parker
And the rest to fill out the top 10 would probably be
Nash
Kyrie
and than the last two would be out of these three, Lawson, Conley, or Lowry.

Also, regarding Parker's assists per game, that is deceptive because Pop always benches his starters early. Parker averages only 32 minutes a game. The more accurate measure is the per 36 minutes average.

Parker per 36 minutes-8.7 assists (and 20.5 points); tied for 2nd in the league with Deron Williams, only 0.3 behind CP3.

Westbrick per 36 minutes-5.6 assists.

Rose, D-Will, Paul, Parker, Westbrook - it's a conversation after those five players.

I gots him barely outside of the top 5 behind Rondo. Parker is the better scorer and shooter than Rondo, but as a pure point guard and all around play, I'm going with Rondo>Parker.
