I said in my personal opinion, Stanhope > Hicks. Why did I say that? Because Hicks often devolves into ranting (and dare I say, bytching) with no cognizable punchline. The "entertainment" value comes solely from the audience already agreeing with a political/sociological opinion sans any comedy. Same as watching Rachel Maddow be snarky, but more so. Stanhope has a more focused style
You replied on some, "BUT Hicks influenced Stanhope" shyt . . . suggesting that this influence should be part of my considerations. I pointed out that was completely irrelevant. First, because Hicks himself was heavily influenced by great comics that one wouldn't rank over him. Second, the things Hicks fans claim people "bit" from Bill Hicks were never exclusive to him in the first place.
So no, not strawmen.
