What about a safe...keep the money inside a bag and with a tracking device in the bag (in case someone breaks in and tries to grab the safe...the police can track it...and, if they bust the lock open, they'll just grab the bag of money...which will have the tracking device in it). I dunno - seems like the safest option

I don't even keep cash in the crib. I got a safe with birth certificates, passports, guns, and hollow points in it. that's it.
hollow points...

But seriously, I keep my money in my wallet and the rest in the bank. FDIC has your balls covered.

A tracking device seems excessive for a guy who posted in another thread that he had 300-something dollars.
I mean how much money do you need before you bought a tracking device? LOL More than 300 I hope.

I have a safe though.
Fireproof. Think it was like $30.

only $30???

my safe was around $100 and isn't that big IMO. but it's fireproof and like 100lbs, so it would be hard to easily run away with it. especially since it's upstairs.

I got mine while browsing for some stuff at Home Depot.
It's about the size of a small briefcase. I don't even know what's in there. Maybe my passport and a few other important documents.
Frankly, a safe isn't an important thing for me to have. I live alone and my building is pretty secure. And nothing about me really says that I have anything of insane value that might be worth stealing.

the money in my house is a small amount, the majority is in the bank

and i have a lot of books, so the chances of finding the right book are slim

a safe is for documents that arent easily replaceable. like birth certificates, ss card, passports etc..
