Well, there you go and people pick up on these things. The guy I knew with connections ( he was even a connect himself
), I became cool with him through video games and then he made it clear that he couldn't do Calculus for shyt. I helped him "study" 
for homework assignments, quizzes, and an exam or two. Although, I had no need for anything it, he was like, if you ever need so and so, I might be able to help you out. As for synthesis, only a fool would ever take things from a place of work/study. However, you just might be surprised on what you can find at pharmacies, hardware stores, or get from friends.

Huh? in order for you to get free base cocaine; which is called crack lol; you first have to synthesis cocaine, then after that you deprotonate the hydrochloride salt with sodium bicarbonate aka baking soda then you get free base version of cocain.
What you just said does not make any sense; you can not teach the free base version of cocaine with out teaching you the synthesis of cocaine; the reason why they teach you the free base version last because the this version is highly reactive and if you do it wrong and it will explode in your face.
I had O-chem 2 years ago pardon me if don't recall the exact details about this particular subject that we were shown in passing.

Are you a student of Chemistry or an enthusiast? You could actually teach it without showing the synthesis of the hydrochloride; you would just have to mention that you would need the HCl form before starting. You could point out that "mechanism" was incorrectly used because there isn't a traditional organic mechanism for the free-base conversion. I wouldn't even consider it real Chemistry though since any fool with baking soda, cocaine HCl, and a stove could pull it off.

I had ochem back in 2008 and I graduated in 2011; there are no excuses in the science field sweetie.
When you graduate and you start working in your desginated field you desire to succed in, people expect you to know the basic chemistry; I'm telling you this from experience. if you're looking for more variety hit up bars. Look for the counterculture type people they usually got the connect.
