i disagree because you are mixing music to be heard by the masses...you want it to sound good to everyone....but YOU are usually your toughest critique so if it is straight to you it's probably straight to the majority

Also if you use Adobe Audition/Cool Edit Pro...make sure you cop/download Izotope Ozone...if you're used to mix via the Audition...once you start mixing, but especially mastering your shyt in Izotope (+ change the option to the highest settings) it will automatically sound twice as good...
