First heard this as a kid on undercover brother. It’s not true because I liked the shyt since I was a kid on a turkey and cheese sandwich or with tuna and your momma aunties or grandmas put the shyt in they potato salad or whatever. Y’all go to restaurants and order burgers and they often mix some mayo in under the lettuce by default. Do black people not eat tuna fish? What the fukk you putting on that, if it ain’t mayo. Don’t black people eat ranch dressing? Definitely has mayo as a main ingredient. People kill me with these “no black people do this and that” like we are a giant stereotypical monolith or something. The way I took it as a kid, was that white people go over the top with mayo and put it on a lot of shyt they have no business putting it on or just over doing it.
Potato/macaroni salad and coleslaw always made this notion silly.
