More than 2 reasons. White men feel like this country is being taken away from them between “wokeness” like pushing women (regardless of race), LGBTQ, non white immigrants, defund police etc, they feel like this country was becoming unrecognizable. Trump brings back that feeling to them that it IS okay to be a white male. They feel like they were losing their voice due to cancel culture, now it’s back. The democrats could’ve combated this by doing things for their base. They remained stagnant then thought that fear mongering Trump would be enough. It didn’t even work in 2016.
