Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
weren't we playing football and basketball during those years of us having a heavyweight champ also?

:why:

those "football & basketball" answers made no sense :laff:

Being heavyweight champion of the world back in the day meant you were the baddest man on the planet, not anymore.

And sure people were playing football and basketball back in the day, however the kids that fit the body type of a modern heavyweight boxer are almost all steered towards football and basketball. People think there's a better chance of making it to the NBA or NFL than there is of being a great heavyweight, and truthfully they are right.

It's why we still see great black fighters at lower weight classes, because those guys have really no other sport they can turn to.

Like previous posts have stated they are in the NFL or NBA now. Who wants to maybe get paid a million bucks to get punched in the face, when he can get 20 million just for signing his name on a contract. ? Who in the NFL or NBA do u think could have been a good or great heavyweight?

Yeah, 25 million to get your face lumped up and ribs bruised or 25 million to dunk on someone or catch touchdowns. I know which one i would choose.

Oh so now other sports deter our athletes :rudy:

From boxing? Yes.

How many colleges/NBA/NFL teams are going to let their players do something as tolling as boxing?

Guy, the talent was more divided up evenly back then.

Now, all of the best black talent plays 2 sports.

Back them some of the best Blacks played baseball, some played football, some played basketball, some ran track, some boxed.

Now, post Michael Jordan, Black kids don't give a fukk about those other sports at all.

It hurts American sports because there's guys on the bench of high-school and college football/basketball teams who if they were to just say fukkk it and box or pick up a baseball bat again would have great careers with that athleticism, but they'd rather be shytty baskeball and football players than even try to box or play baseball these days, because even shytty baskeball and football players get tons of p*ssy on college campuses.

And then theres the fact that plenty of mamas don't want their sons boxing anymore. They'd rather them play basketball or football(and that's about to change as well) and get rich than end up like Muhammad Ali and Evander Holyfield.
