a-mafia could've been the DMX of the '10s if all the cards fell in place.

instead, hes harlem's slaughter rico.

rico & mafia my 2 favorites during that time period and neither was tryna take the offers they got. cant blame em tho.

Dont agree with the X comparison but slaughter rico was/is that nikka.. nice to see him name dropped.. I only heard of A mafia on dipset shyt never really payed him much attention but if you are comparing him to slaughter rico I will check him out...

Slaughter Rico was the goat to me for a while.. people always say how pun leveled up kool g rap flow.. slaughter rico leveled up Pun flow which is no easy feat

yea, the X comparison was sloppy and I didn't explain it at all.
what I meant by that, was mafia should've been the face of new York rap heading into this decade, and he would've rejuvenated it, even if he didn't go mainstream with it.

mafia could've made some SERIOUS noise tho. as someone pointed out in a previous thread; mafia could spit real bars while effortlessly riding a trap beat better than most southern rappers. his national street appeal would be huge like a DMX, 50 cent, meek millz or dipset. and shoot, he had dipset roots already, which is an extra plus as they were still checking for dipset down south.

and yea, slaughter rico is pound for pound one of the all-time great emcees. he'll never get his credit tho. not even in philly.

how? when duke in the video?

whats that supposed to mean?

he gave duke a shoutout in the song.

"I still f*ck wit duke da god, still f*ck wit killa
I still f*ck wit hell rell, still f*ck wit vado
if I aint say ya name, you a bi*ch n*cca, die slow"

In talks with 50 to do exactly what tho?
If this was 2010 okay maybe, but in 2018 what the f-ck is 50 gonna do for A-Mafia outside of getting him (maybe) a nice check.
Nicer than he's ever seen for sure but still......
no cap, just really saying what it is

Uncle murda seems happy:yeshrug:

Sometimes nikkas need a boost to get the wheels rolling...
No one expecting him to be a superstar, but making a move with 50 is better than nothing

not hating at all but Uncle Murda? OK
So A-Mafia gonna get his tri-state (only) bang on. OK
Just feels like 50 doing tax write-offs for Uncle Murda expenditures because NO-ONE outside the tri-state is bumping Uncle Murda.
Also it feels like 50 might be playing chess moves by trying to sign A-Mafia.
Kind of like how Tru-Life was used in a previous situation.
and for the record A-Mafia makes better music than Murda - in my opinion.
But hey if A-mafia can get a check and make music more power to him - no pun intended.

I was thinking that as well about how tru life was used...

Realistically speaking as you said, if he would link with 50, that's the biggest legal money he ever gonna see...

Murda going on private jets and performing in ireland....if 50 offering that as the basics, it's a no brainer...:manny:

NO DOUBT....
And a rappers shelf-life in Europe is 10x longer than in the states so yeah make that move.
Honestly dudes like A-mafia and Uncle Murda could probably have a 2nd home somewhere in Germany or Holland if they wanted.
That old NYC vibe is long gone.
