My google voice number expired in March

Since my phone is gone there is no way for me to get a new number (because you have to verify your phone through text/call)

Curious on why/how it expires?

if my phone were to break I always have a throwaway I could activate

I went without my phone for 4 days on my last cruise..wasn't that bad

Also if you have an ipod touch you can talk and text on that, no google voice

You remembered or wrote down phone numbers instead of programming them into the phone. You only called people when you had something important to say. You had actual interests and hobbies instead of making facebook postings about interest and hobbies.

Was too broke to afford a new one after my old one broke

Honestly it was kind of nice because I was distracted less. Since no one could really hit me up I was just focused on my own ish

A few times a school year I'll forget to bring it with me. It's never a huge deal 'cause I always have my Mac on me.

I don't even use my phone unless someone texts me, or when I'm tethering my laptop to it at work... but I like knowing it's close by. Iono about going a few days WITHOUT it.
