Sadly the only time I hear a wrestling commentator actually call a match and not tell some random story these days is when I youtube old ECW matches with Da Gawd Joey Styles commentating.

He doesn't get much credit as he deserves. During the old ECW he called most of the shows/PPV's solo. I think Gertner (another GOAT) started providing color commentary towards the end and I know Rick Rude did some commentary for them as well, but Styles was able to hold both spots down for years.
