I've posted this a gang of times over the years...but the most shameless and hilarious example of this is that "A Dream" track on BP2...where Biggie visits Jay from the afterlife for no other reason but to tell Jay how great Jay-Z is :heh: ....not a single word about looking out for his moms and kids or a "Yo Hov, these are the nikkas that killed me...avenge my death my nikka" .... nope nothing Biggie descending from heaven to praise what a great one of kind talent Jay is, and Jay-Z agreeing with him and then comparing himself to Christ :pachaha: ....how you make a song about your murdered homeboy and turn it into pure self aggrandizing

...and it took another nikka to show him how to really do the song

Chamill basically dedicated his entire existence to DJ Screw with no problem

Jay definitely saw that there was a void and he capitalized as best as he could. But at the same time if you watch a Brooklyn Nets home game every 5 mins they blast Biggies music from the loud speakes.

It's called paying tribute..[/B]

...it's called that NOW because he (Jay-Z) told a generation of young stupids to believe that THAT'S what it was. So now that's the first crutch they run to when this argument comes up.

However....once upon a time it USED to be called "biting" and was universally accepted as a reason to be ostracized outta rap.

But yunno.....shyt like that is irrelevant in today's rap culture.

And no, I'm not gettin' into that argument in here. That's that :hamster: :deadhorse: shyt.
