When you look back at the 2010’s era of hip hop, what was great about it???

Almost nothing good about it. One of the worst eras in Hip Hop history with majority of rappers trying to be like others instead of coming up with their own lane. Couple decades later the 2010s will barely be remembered.

Yeah there were some shining moments like Kendrick and so on...but for entire decade you'd expect more content. I'd play some tracks out of nostalgia, but a lot of it aged pretty badly already. And we are still in 2020s.

2007-2009 was the WOAT era. There was a great resurgence from like 2010-2016.

Right now is a weird era. A lot of quality independent releases the last 5 years but market oversaturated and very few got staying power. The downside of it being so inexpensive and easy to release music now. On the mainstream side it's dead. Kendrick, Drake, Future, Cole and Travis Scott been on top for 10-15 years now and it's already a wrap for most of the next couple generations that followed em. These dudes are 40 years old and there's nobody poised to challenge em.

Early 2010s were decent, it was post 2015 that it became a parody of itself.

A bunch of waves, but nothin' really memorable from the freshmen classes that came in the game. Kendrick the most relevant. It was a cool era for flash in the pan swag raps that bumped in the club... nothin' else. You had some gems, but nothin' worth mentionin' unless you was there.
