10s damn near belong to Future when i think about it:ohhh:

Most influential, most impactful, March madness is arguable the greatest single of that era

Roc Marci and Griselda changes the sound of underground rap

Too many dope projects to keep track of. It was a great era

Facts....plus your boy was really finally living super comfy......I could feel a lot of that shyt in a different way :ohlawd:

you can make an entire playlist of songs that sampled 36 mafia

Kingpin Skinny even got bigger then ever from being sampled so heavy and featured in the "PHONK" genre.

people really just creatively were doing whatever TF they felt.

a lot of barriers were removed.

there were 2 many rules back in the day and 2 many people scared to be themselves.

that era gave no fukks.

Rick Ross at his peak
Later career Kanye
Early career Kendrick
Juicy J dropped a classic
Odd Future starting

There was a point in 2014-2016 when really good album or mixtape were dropping like every week. It was a great time for rap, but not for the big acts.

Almost nothing good about it. One of the worst eras in Hip Hop history with majority of rappers trying to be like others instead of coming up with their own lane. Couple decades later the 2010s will barely be remembered.

Yeah there were some shining moments like Kendrick and so on...but for entire decade you'd expect more content. I'd play some tracks out of nostalgia, but a lot of it aged pretty badly already. And we are still in 2020s.

Am I going crazy or did this decade have the most eras/sounds within it?

Blog era
ATL Trap (Lex Luger)
New ATL Trap
Sound Cloud Rap
Chicago Drill
Brooklyn Drill
DJ Mustard sound
Mumble Rap

I'm sure I'm missing a million more.
The 00s was super thugged out and 2 cool for school. The late 00s blog era rappers breaking through in the 10s gave way to alternative styles of rap and by the mid 10s you have so many styles of rap all getting major traction
