Brolic... Alcoholics
Not only that but he was punching properly and not wasting any movement, I was sold after round 1. I still don't think he does any better against Manny though, the way Manny slips his jab will always be a nightmare for him.

Yeah... I remember reading that John D was helping him with turning over his punches.

Entertaining fight
But Wasn't impressed with either fighter
algeri was in fantastic shape but he loses to any top welterweight in the game :yeshrug:
Great effort in a Rocky sort of way but if he fights like That against someone like Thurman he's going to sleep:yeshrug:

I see why khan ducked brooks.
He definitely woulda took the l tonight if they fought

Khan seems likes he's digressing
He's really scared to death at the idea of losing that mayweather pay day again :mjlol:
I don't even think he cares if he wins, just wants that check
I personally can't see how folks can say that Khan really has a chance vs Floyd. You see how he just sits there waiting to be hit with counter punches after he throws, and if you put a few punches behind the ones you land (which Algieri didn't do), there's a good chance this fool will hit the canvas or be completely embarrassed by Floyd IMO.

I enjoyed this fight, possible FOTY candidate? Early I know, but it was a good scrap. The decision was correct, no dispute there. Regardless, we always joke about Algeri being let out the cage, and he impressed me tonight. Ironically, when he backed off of being overly aggressive, particularly round four, he found more success. Had he fought maturely as he did in that round, I think would have been different. Rounds 1-3 he was on his Kovalev, but he doesn't have KKK power to break a fighter's will in the same fashion. He fukked up lookin for those one hitter quitters considering he's as pillow fisted as Paulie. As long as he is, it surprised me that he didn't utilize the jab as much.

While Khan looked good and won decisively, he didn't look great either. I used to think his length and speed would give Floyd problems, but I'm not so sure now. One thing I am sure about it is, he definitely doesn't want to deal with Kell now, and to be honest I don't blame him. Same with Thurman. Those same shots Algeri hit him with, if thrown by Thurman, he would have been put to sleep.

Good fight nonetheless. All praises to Allah Haymon.

Good night of fights.

Surprisingly for all the action and good moments Fortuna-Vasquez was a bit of a struggle to watch. Very amateurish with their punches and both men use their faces for defense. Vasquez was the worst. Sometimes Fortuna would just go straight in and Vasquez would take every punch straight to the face and not move his head or body. :heh: Not high on either guy after this fight, but it was entertaining enough.

Algieri surprised me. I wondered if he deserved to fight against this level of competition or if he needed to step down. He handled himself well and gave a good fight. I still would like to see him step down a level to get some more work in with his new trainer and get some W's while doing it. Right now I don't think Algieri beats many guys at top of 140 or 147, but he proved he deserves to get more shots and develop himself. :obama:

I had Khan winning 8-4, it was a performance where I thought he looked to get the better of Algieri, but not by as much as I thought he would have beforehand. Khan let Algieri get to him a lot, had it been a better fighter and/or a harder puncher Khan would have been in trouble. As people above said, a fight vs. Thurman or Brook does not go Khan's way at all. He isn't fluid enough in his boxing to keep guys off of him. Mayweather beats Khan. I don't think we need to see the fight, I would prefer Brook or Thurman, but Khan may be the best PPV option. Despite Khan's chin I don't think Mayweather KO's him. Mayweather isn't aggressive enough anymore. I would expect a boxing clinic and out classing for 12 rounds...ie, a typical modern Floyd fight.
