When you get a cold do you go to the doctor and get antibiotics or just ride it out?

Ive heard in the long run your bodies better off riding it out and not taking antibiotics everytime you get a cold but when i dont take antibiotics it seems t otake longer to get rid of

antibiotics only work for bacterial infections...colds are caused by viruses...there is no cure for a cold...all they can do is treat the symptoms

the thing about me is i hate taking medicine of any kind. I normally ride it out, i feel like if you got a cold your immune system should be strong enough to fight it. taking Vitamin C's and D's for something so minuscule is some punk shyt to me.
