I wouldnt mind seeing Punk vs Taker at WM but only if Punk still has the championship. Its a storyline that can make sense with Punk's streak on the line vs Taker's streak. And besides the obvious Brock match there isnt anyone on the roster with the believeability to threaten Taker's streak. Yes, obviously there is Cena, but I dont know how you can get to that match right now and have it make sense.
I don't think it's so much that people want to see it as much as it's just the rumor going around. I'd personally rather see him and Lesnar at 'Mania, because....

if this was at all kayfabed then Brock is a very calm and kind man, he'd just gotten beaten bloody in humiliating fashion i'd have been ready to beat up fans, current and ex co-workers, security guards and other celebs too. Wouldn't have been able to focus on hyping a "fake fight".
if it wasn't any kind of work, then ol' Taker really is as gully as he's rumored to be, a pro fighter just lost his belt brutally and you're poking at him with a sharp stick immediately after
i'd love to see them wrestle at Mania, Hunter can find something else to do for the time being, nobody's trying to see him vs Brock again. .. he can "get his win back" later.

Punk is no where on the level of taker. Nobody from this generation should fight taker. It should be someone like dwayne, brock, or maybe even kane. Somethin that has more of a story and build up. Punk vs taker would be somethin just thrown out of their asses
Who knows. It's the only thing that makes sense unless Punk is doing a Triple Threat match.
