I understand it will never happen and if they were going to change the rules in one of the leagues it would unfortantely be removing the DH from the AL.

But the AL got it right the DH makes the game so much better pretty much ever league around the globe uses the DH besides the NL. Holding onto history oh wow the strategy in making that double switch was so entertaining the fukk am I watching Chess no one gives a shyt.

If there was no DH you have no Edgar Martinez you have no David Ortiz. Then there are people who still have the ability to hit but are to old to field you don't have the likes of Vlad Guerrero extending his career or many others like him or injury prone players being capable to stay on the field due to DHing just imagine if Griffey stayed in the AL and was able to DH what possibly could of been?

I'm sorry seeing a 2 out rally start only to know it will be derailed by the pitcher who has no chance is bullshyt. Whats more entertaining watching a pitcher try to sac bunt or a pitcher have to battle through deep ass line ups with no reprieve and no bail outs.

It's clear as day the DH brings way more excitement and makes Baseball much better just give it up you NL homers and :pacspit: at ruining Chien-Ming Wangs career.

In my opinion they should both do the same thing whether it be DH or pitcher hitting. A team will always be advantaged or disadvantaged in inter league play otherwise. It is going be harder to make the American League stop DHing due to the money involved. Therefore I agree that the DH should be implemented in the NL.

A lot of baseball's idiosyncrasies annoy the hell out of me. Different dimensions in different parks, different rules in different leauges, intentional walks, homefield decided by the all-star game I mean what the fukk? fukk tradition!!! It used to be a tradition to keep black people from playing. Keeping things just for the sake of tradtion is :scusthov: :what: :wtf: and :snoop:.

Go Tigers!!!

yeah, a pitcher can just throw at batters heads all day with no fear of retribution. Sounds fair.

And I know everyone enjoys 4 hours of baseball

I feel like the DH should be abondaned and the pitcher needs to hit in both leagues

Makes for a more strategic game

If there throwing at peoples heads they'll have to hear it from there teammates when there getting beaned. I knew someone would metion the length of games that's really the only issue but still I rather watch that then the NL that can't keep my interest for and even and hour.

Actually, it is the other way around. The player's union has made it pretty clear they will not allow the removal of the DH position because it employs a lot of aging players.

That being said, the idea that you have a league where one half of the teams play under different rules than the other is an embarrassment.

Imagine if the NBA allowed Western Conference teams to have a Designated Free Throw shooter :krs:

What's funny is there would be no net job loss if they removed the DH. Those roster spots would go to a middle reliever, a 5th outfielder, etc and 15 new guys would become everyday players. They're basically protecting a lot of old guys that have already made a ton of money and are well on their way down.

Pitchers are specialists. People don't pay money to see pitchers hit. Now if they want to keep that alive then they're gonna have to develop pitchers in the lowers levels to be able to hit at the high levels. So, not only does he have to pitch at the major league level, he also has to hit at too. That's the only way watching a pitcher hit could be interesting.

This is a chicken/egg argument. If the DH was never created, most pitchers would be able to hit. The idea of pitchers as "specialists" is silly. They should be the most important players on the team. Not only stopping the other team from scoring, but producing runs themselves.
