I thought Ava DuVernay would have a really good shot at the Oscar before the overblown backlash about Selma's authenticity started.

Nope. She's too young in the game and not in the Hollywood circle like that yet...its all politics breh. She'll have her time, but she gotta get more clout in the game

He's actually not that big a lock to win. I'd say it's a 60:40 split with Inarritu. Whereas Boyle had a 100% chance of winning for Slumdog.
i'd say more 70-30. but like i said when a movie takes a long time or was difficult to make to make like life of pi, gravity, boyhood..they've been awarded by the academy and virtual locks the past few years
