Book of Eli is the most unfairly hated movie of our time.
That is a good ass movie.
That is a good ass movie.
It's boring, it's obvious, and just flat.

Far from a mess, that movie was dope.Nah, not really. Very mediocre with a corny twist ending. It never felt like a Hughes Brothers movie and that's probably why they broke up...Book of Eli was a mess
Far from a mess, that movie was dope.
The ending wasn't corny it fit perfectly with the theme and flow of the film
Agree to disagree but my whole theater was upset at how lame the ending was; it was a chore to sit through and it was obvious that it was a paycheck flick for Denzel...anyone could have played that part with same results.
Not surprising, hence it being the most unfairly hated flick. Most just didn't get it, or the movie
@ thinking people didn't get that simple ass movie...that wasn't the problem, trust me. The problem was that the performances were lackluster, the story/script were bland, and like I said, it was a sleepwalking performance for Denzel...anybody could have done that role and it would have had the same effect. There was nothing special about the character or acting, which is hard to say for a Denzel role...shyt was obviously a paycheck gig.
So wait a minute: Just because someone doesn't like a twist ending and complains about it, it means they didn't get it? besides that terrible generalization, breh, there was nothing complex about that twist at all...considering that it was explained in the movie, what do you think people didn't get about it? Seriously? It wasn't any of those things.
But ya, anyone complaining about the twist, didn't get it.

I've argued with people about this movie for years. Most people don't realize it's not an action flick it's a biblical movie set in modern times, or rather future times.
Him being blind wasn't some random twist they threw in at the end, it was essential to the themes and plot of the movie, so yes, the vast majority of folks who complain about that twist did not understand the movie.
The movie clearly shows it to be a Biblical film, so I don't know who you have been arguing about the movie with, but that's on them because we all got it and it was still a mediocre, forgettable film with lackluster performances.
