The struggle that a lot of blacks experience in this country is psychological. When this happens to us on a routine basis , we may laugh it off inside, but it eventually creates in us a sense of inferiority, whether we admit to it or not. This is why society will never fully understand the impact of racism.
If you go your whole life being treated like an outcast or a monster on a subconciously it can skew your perception of reality. As blacks , we never truly feel like a human being.

On a another note, many non-blacks are petrified of blacks and legitimately so. They also have a skewed perception of reality. If all you see are negative representations of blacks you will have a very negative outlook on blacks. It's all social conditioning and yet another facet of the ego

I go to this book store sometimes up in the rich part of town. Its in a barn built in the 1700s. Dude who owns it has books written hundreds of years ago. It's cool. White people be looking so shook when they see me up in there The barn is like 4 stories high, so there are aisles that are off in the cut and they all scurry like roaches when we're in an aisle alone together Like the black guy is going to mug them in a book store. The owner is mad cool though (obviously as I'm spending money) so its one of my spots.

I think it was mid year when I witnessed an elderly Indian woman in a that indian garb (sari) get robbed by a young black kid, got her chain snatched. She ran up to me and asked me to help. I called the police.
