shyt was acceptable at 18,19 when he was raw talent but at this point his trainers failed him

this is a product of him not having an established go-to game especially on the perimeter and Bud constantly putting him there to try & do something and failing...he has to first work on developing a go to game close to the basket where he is most comfortable, then expand on that.

They have him trying to do everything w/o being solid on 1 thing offensively to go to yet...that's why you see possessions like that. He's thinking about what to do where he should just be going to what he can do best

So you’re gonna lie and pretend the competition Giannis is facing isn’t better than what early Lebron was facing?
The competition in the league or the competition Giannis is facing? Cause he wasn't getting eliminated by the Warriors or LeBron's teams.

He works incredibly hard on his game in the off-season yet doesn’t show improvement. There are three possibilities.

1. He’s just not good at basketball
2. He’s just not that smart/can’t figure it out
3. He has terrible support and coaching

We know 1 isn’t true and we know 2 isn’t true. He works with Bucks staff in the off-season and never improves. That’s the culprit in my eyes. This guy has zero post moves. His only basketball move is driving to the hoop and getting to the basket, even if he has to commit an offensive foul. Because he can’t just pull up and shoot. These are coaching issues.

His coach is a bum and needs to be fired with the whole staff. Imagine Giannis in Miami working with Spo and his staff. Or Pop and SA. Hell Jason Kidd was starting to teach him post game before he got fired.

Nikka what? No player has improved as much as Giannis Antetekoumnpo since entering the league.

And him not having a post game is simply not true. He was a top 15 post scorer this past season.

Great analysis. How many hours a day in the off season would you say he works on his game?

You’re not winning a ring with Harden as your best player. Or Durant is not winning a ring without at least 1 top 10 NBA player in his team, these are all proven facts that can be said for just about anybody. Basketball analysis is lazy at this point.
Dirk did it.

Dunno. I read an article a few months ago about how he shoots thousands of free throws in the offseason and does all this work with the Bucks staff...but clearly it's not working. I can't find it now but it was on The Athletic I think.

I can't understand it. Some players...like Ben Simmons...you can tell they don't work on their game. Others are in the gym and you see their game improve. I'm not a Harden fan but clearly he puts some work in during offseason, on his shot. The fact that Giannis works so hard and can't even do basic basketball moves is the biggest NBA mystery to me.
