91 94 he was just on the zone. I would say 95 96 he was a machine and found his style. 99 he was the most intricate and interesting in his lyrics. Now he's a beast on the flow type but his lyrics have less deep content

He peaked during IWW, then fell a bit, then peaked again during the whole I Am double album that didn't happen, then fell again then peaked during the B EZ era, fell again, then peaked during the beef , found Kelis and fell again lol. Then peaked during the Life is Good stage, and he been on it ever since it looks like.

95-97.., esco era was that perfect blend of the poetic flourishes from the illmatic era with the multisyllabic slick shyt that was coming in vogue round that time .. That's his Jordan in '88, Kobe in '06, Westbrook in 2017 type season

Voted for 95-97, but, 1994-1996 is Nas at his absolute best to me in pretty much everything. That being said, Nas has delivered great lyricism all throughout his career for the most part.
