I remember when i first started working out i was :eat: heavy off the newbie gains:gladbron: I had my uncle and pops tutoring me and helping with my diet so i was seeing 4 pounds of muscle a month:wow: but that all stopped around my 8-9th month of lifting and i was barely getting 2.5 pounds of muscle a month 4 years later and im lucky to see 2 pounds a month... Damn i miss my newbies:to:

Probably towards the end of senior year in HS.

Weight lifting throughout puberty is like being on a nonstop cycle for years.

I look back @ some of the shyt I accomplished at 18 like :what: :wow:

After 4 or 5 months...I gained like 20lbs. I stopped getting bigger on my upper body but my strength still increases.

lol, I never had those kinds of gains but I remember when I first started lifting at the start of college I went from being a 150 lb weakling to a brolic and cut 175 lbs in what seemed like no time at all. I'm talking about diesel legs, abs, the whole deal breh. That shyt came outta nowhere. Like a kid, I assumed I would *always* be able to get in shape like that. Then, age caught up and now I'm :sadcam: when going to the gym.

Back then I was eating everything and a protein shake before bed. :yeshrug: I might have been mal-nurished....before I was gaining I'd eating twice a day and play basketball for hours.

Yeah all of that extra cardio is a killer if you're trying to eat to your TDEE which is set for 3-4 days at the gym a week.

I started lifting my freshman year of high school when i weighed like 150ish. I've dabbled in martial arts my whole life tho. Started kyoukushin around that same time tho I needed the extra strength to compete in full knockdown tournaments.
