I was on board pretty much until he had that contract signing with Johnny BOREinitus, where he took the "meta" aspects too far and was all "Come on, this is a contract signing, we are supposed to fight!" That went beyond shooting, and into the realm of self-parody.
Then of course after Rocky came back, he pretty much became a mid-card champion for half a year. Then Jericho's wackness didn't help (Not his fault, to be fair).
I've been just sorta meh on Punk for awhile now. My favorite version of the character is still that, entitled, messiah type figure of SES/Nexus.
Good thing about Punk is that unlike Cena, I know he has *it*, I don't think he's done for. He just needs a hot storyline, with no involvement from shyts like Trips or damn "General Managers".
