My people, my people...
We are colorful, animated, & very often imitated - setting trends.

It's quite entertaining/amusing watching folks with these mannerisms...I could even take it in doses...

I'd rather that than the hand clapping after every syllable/word :sadcam: Ugh...makes my ass hurt.

Ha!

I believe that particular move originated in Chicago. Lil Rel does a hilarious impersonation.

But generally, flamboyant gays dramatized 80s Black women's mannerisms & slang and ran with it. Women have been re-influenced by those flamboyant gays. They feed & inspire each other's behavior. That particular move is a spin off from prior similar hand gestures.

My girlfriend is a doctor and she watches this reality show called Married to Medical Doctors. I sat down and watched it with her one day and I couldn’t figure out if I was watching black women or drag queens. It was just all over the top. But you make a good point, because these women were in Atlanta, it appeared as if their behavior was mimicking gay dudes who mimick black women. It was an interesting display of regurgitation of something that originated from then to begin with.

Everywhere...You never there.
Shyt is starting to seep into professional meetings ... :snoop:

I’ve even seen white “professional” females over 50 do it ...
Shiiiiit ... I’ve seen females driving with one hand on the wheel, resting b*tch face and the other hand in the permanent air grab pose ...

It’s really not a game outchea :snoop:
