I hear people saying Jay-z rejuvenated him but i don't see him. Looking at his discography he had two number one albums before the beef and Nastradamus debuted at No.7. But even with the beef Stillmatic only debuted at number 8 on the charts. I think the beef made him relevant again but he never really fell off before it. Maybe he did a little bit around the God Son era. I never realized that album only debuted at number 18. And people say It Was Written was his most successful album. Maybe it had his most succesful singles on there but I AM sold 470,000 albums in it's first week.

This alleged period took place between roughly after IWW dropped until "ask Nas he dont want it with Hov...Nooooo"

Personally I'll agree, I thought his work during said time was sub par :ld:

But I Am was a good ass album and would have been classic if not for the leaked tracks. The only thing he released that you can say is subpar was Nastradamus which is a very good album to me.

Nas has never fallen off, the funny thing to me about Jay of all people making that claim was he's the one who dropped off Blueprint was carried by beats more than anything. Lyrically wise Jiggaman has been skating for years on that tip while Nas 20 years in the game still is as sharp as a knife and has never needed beats to carry him.
