yea only the pirates had no clue, people goin were ones who d/led it and were playing it lol

not from personal experience, but I heard it was just almost impossible to beat. invisible walls everywhere, random glitches that make enemies gods, etc...lol

all because the devs, like you said, hardcoded clever protection into the game mechanics instead of usual practice of slapping the 'protection' on top of the game.
