"aye nikka tried to carry you young" :krs:

LOL! I got that first from Flavor Flav and then I heard Martin Lawrence use it in a special after we'd stopped using it for a few years.

If you want to get super technical, slang is different from slangin as they can mean two way different things. Atl folks will discern cap from cappin to get that credit.

I always remember dub meaning wack from back ( late 90s -2000s ) “ man he dropped a dub, turn that shyt off “ but then we would also say dub for a 20 sack. All depends on how you used it but it’s been around for some time.

Cap always meant lie, first heard it when I moved to Tampa in the late 90s. I know it’s popping now to other states but it’s always been regional to westcoast Florida section.
Lol

You mean a "dud"

never heard of/used cap as lie until the past ~3ish years. out here, growing up you were either gonna cap someone (kill) or cap on someone (clown). interesting how your region's use is what's big nationwide now

We used to use it in Philly.

"Man. She don't love you. She capping ya head up"

"Imma cap her up to get them draws"

Goat aka scapegoat used to mean bad (remember Nick Anderson in the finals), now its Greatest Of All Time

Ratchet was slang for gun, now it's ghetto behavior

Cap was used as a regional metaphor for shooting (bust a cap). Now people are using the version that means to lie

The internet fukked up regional slang, now it's almost uniform. Everyone speaks the same lingo, depending on what is hot

You still have some outliers like moe, jawn, etc

Gambling with money that's usually a double pay out ( double bubble ) out if you score x amount of points in a game before whoever you playing scores, "just dubbed this nikka :mjlit:"
