so what was he doing most of his time in Marin before becoming a Digital Underground roadie?

being a street nikka doesn't mean you have to be in a gang or a mob.
Um finishing high school?
He was in the streets. Aubrey was in his mom's house in the suburbs.
There's no stories of Pac being a street nikka pre-fame. Nothing to do with Drake who I know is a created character.

I think it started early when he had threats on his life and had to have security. People forget the world we live in and how we got here. Through Wayne and Cash Money Drake probably had street security. Through J Prince Drake had street security. As he went to Jamaica he had street security. Every city in dangerous.

I myself want to live and if people want to kill me I am not going to open myself up to them to people who could careless about my personal well-being.

I say this often that the whole world is the murder capital and most times so and so could be your killer. Almost always so and so is your own ego.

Tupac’s own mother said if the wind can touch you that you can be got.

I hate street shyt and I continue to get into fist fights and arguments about it. The cons outweigh the mirage of pros. You really want to plant your seed in a woman who wants you on mad shyt killing other people and being on the run from others. You really don’t want to be able to hear your kids speak words. You really don’t want to be able to watch your parents get older if you were blessed with a good parents. You really don’t want to be blessed to make it past 30 or even 25 when you don’t even have health issues. You really wanna be rah rah when in your casket the funeral homes ain’t never make us look like we sleeping. You really wanna be on a RIP shirt that your face fades from and over time only your family still put flowers on your gravesite.

the short answer is that he's an agent of the devil whose job is to draw people closer to the hellfire.
As such, he will not do anything that uplifts people.
He could use his fame and clout to end hood beef in Toronto, but instead, he perpetuates it by casting people against one another.

When drake says "wassa wassa", he is referring to this guy - a known serial killer
Officers seen ducking for cover in dashcam video viewed at inquest into 2015 police shooting

when he says GG, he's not talking about Gucci, he's referring to this individual
Arrest Made in Murder of Jerome Belle

Now imagine the hundreds of kids from the other side in Toronto that are basically being antagonized for the purpose of American credibility.

Basically, he has no intention of promoting any good whatsoever for anyone other than himself. and the result, if you have any sense, is the destruction of lives.

He speaking artistically as a rapper in some battle shyt though. He didn’t get gangsta until Quentin Miller wrote that album for him. Now he teams up with 21 and Future in collab albums so he can talk Street shyt with real street dudes and get a pass for it.

He’s calculated.
