I know exactly who you’re talking about and he is black…he does have a voice that sounds white in terms of inflection/tone…fwiw his wife is white too…I find him funny…he is pretty sharp/quick with his responses and it doesn’t come across forced imo but I can see how others might be put off by it

I don’t look at that as “typing black”…I don’t use proper english all the time when I speak or type…I just happen to be black…same goes for some white ppl…they’re not all college-educated nor do they all speak eloquently at all times…you have a lot of white ppl who didn’t even grow up around black ppl who talk, type like that…but I do see some professional writers in sports media (black and white) who do tweet/type like that to sound I guess cool/relatable and that definitely comes across as disingenuous imo…jemele hill comes to mind and it’s cringeworthy when she does it
