even without this controversy, these science blogs are kinda pathetic. they bully scientists into giving them free content that is based on work that not only costs actual money to produce, but is of course taking the time and talents of, in many cases, PhD level scientists. i dont know of any other racket where you can get that kind of free labor from experts. and then when you look at the arrogance when you ask them about compensation, LOL.
i understand that internet publishing has a hard time monetizing, but there has to be another way. contrary to all the "you should have majored in STEM" people on the net, many scientists are not caking up, some cant even find work
