South Korean police have arrested a couple for starving their three-month-old daughter to death while they devoted hours to playing a computer game that involved raising a virtual character of a young girl.
The 41-year-old man and 25-year-old woman, who met through a chat website, reportedly left their infant unattended while they went to internet cafes. They only occasionally dropped by to feed her powdered milk.
"I am sorry for what I did and hope that my daughter does not suffer any more in heaven," the husband is quoted as saying on the asiaone website.

A South Korean man has died after reportedly playing an online computer game for 50 hours with few breaks.
The 28-year-old man collapsed after playing the game Starcraft at an internet cafe in the city of Taegu, according to South Korean authorities.
The man had not slept properly, and had eaten very little during his marathon session, said police.

I've got 6 years logged on my WoW account.

Had about 70 hours logged I think on one of my Kingdom Hearts saves (I was grinding for a full crystal crown set )

Most FPS games I had back them didn't take count of that stuff

i don't really count rpgs because the sheer amount of hours just grinding but the longest game i put in the most hours into last gen was 110 hours in fallout 3

Just looked at my steam library and noticed that I put 13,232.4 hours into “cities: skylines”. I know a big chunk of that was my leaving it running for days on end because all the mods/assets took almost an hour to re-load a save. Still….them mods hit different.

I've pirated most of the Paradox games, but I know I spent a good chunk of my early twenties engulfed in Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings. Probably clocked tens of thousands of hours. Bought a legit copy of CK3 and have around 1300 hours in it.

I think I also have about 4k hours in Rocket League that I occasionally play since it's release.
