Excluding The Garlic Jr Saga:jbhmm:
It was trash television only filler that shouldn't even be acknowledged :jbhmm:

Mines probably got to be the Buu Saga.
Other than seeing Vegeta fighting for someone other than himself, SSJ3, and the fusion concept, there really isn't much that can measure up to the other Sagas IMO.

i will say buu saga as well. took longer to really get going, lots of silly shyt i could have done without, not a huge fan of SS3 or the fusion stuff, buu just absorbing everyone over 70 episodes, etc.

Buu saga, obviously question should be is what is your favorite? Most may choose Namek but I pick the Saiyan saga.

Saiyan saga is the fav because it really captured the sheer hopelessness of the situation, Nappa was pushing everybody's shyt back. Then Goku came and was all like carefree and shyt:youngsabo:, looking all smug and his friends were like :dwillhuh:. Then he went and punched Nappa in the solar plexus and I was like:gladbron:.

Then the Vegeta fight:whew:

Problem I had with DBZ is that they did this formula over and over again, with Frieza (waiting for him to heal up), the Ginyu Force, and Buu.

Buu Saga.

They got too dependent on transformation gimmicks.

The saga had some good ideas and some good fights but it was way too muddled and unsatisfying in the end.

What sucks if they had two potentially compelling storylines if they would have written it stronger and had faith to end it there.

Vegeta letting himself be consumed by evil so he could fight Goku one last time could have been the series ending showdown. But they fukked that up and let his sacrifice be turned into a joke.

But then later in the saga they ditched silly transformations and had Gohan become a beast by training with gods. Mystic Gohan vs Buu as a final showdown could have salvaged the saga. But they fukked that up too.

What it ended with was ass, and capped off a needlessly convoluted and ultimately unnecessary chapter.

Buu Saga easily.

It was hard to take Buu seriously as a villain, dude was just too silly. Plus it was the point where Gohan officially became :flabbynsick: status.

As far as I'm concerned the Cell Saga was the magnum opus of the series.

I gotta agree. They swept Vegeta openly fighting not just for a cause, but for people besides himself aside (he was such a colossal selfish and egotistical a$$hole for so much of the series that this really needed to be a bigger deal), Gohan reaching his pinnacle was brushed aside (given that as early as the Raditz fight it was made clear how special he was and how he was the guy who beat cell, this needed to be a bigger deal than it was), Piccolo was damn near rendered useless at times (he's top 2-3 favorite characters for me), it took a real long time to get going, Buu was too silly, and there were too many forms of him and too many fusions. The ending with the tournament and Uub wasn't good either. The series needed to end with a tournament that one of them wins or one last Goku-Vegeta fight to really settle who was the best. That's what I enjoyed about the Freiza/Namek and Cell sagas is the issue was lingering in the open on top of what they had to take care of while you knew it was something they both wanted to address once they could.
