New Japan, All Japan, PWG, Dragon Gate and ROH. We need some Big Japan knowledge in here because I haven't watched in years. All I know is Abdullah Kobayashi is a champ there still but is my nikka Jaki still there?
I'll give you some names to check out.
- Shinsuke Nakamura (top heel in NJPW)
- Hiroshi Tanahashi (top face in NJPW, basically their equivalent to Cena only much better)
- Prince Devitt (gaijin from Ireland, one of the best juniors in the World)
- Jun Akiyama (technically a NOAH guy, but he's the champ in AJPW and is having a good run)
- Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi (great tag team from BJW)
Anything involving these guys is generally going to be good.
He's still there yeah. They have a pretty solid product these days. Like I said above, if you're looking to get into Big Japan I suggest looking up some Sekimoto/Okabayashi matches.

For the most part, I just watch matches/shows that look good on paper or are getting good reviews.
I don't usually waste my time watching RAW and stuff like that, because I know going in that I'm not gonna enjoy it.
WWE by default, no one is really doing much right now but with DB getting a main event run, gotta give the nod to the E

Can't keep up with the Indy Kids anymore. I used to be heavy in the game from 2002 to 2007. Tried again when ROH went to HDnet but that fell off too.

It's not that hard to be honest.
I don't watch TNA, and barely check what's going on in SD! via youtube if the spoilers are interesting.
Promotions like PWG and Big Japan put on shows once a month (in Big Japan's case, they have a lot of small "house shows" and 1 or 2 televised events each tour). So they aren't a chore to keep up with. All Japan also has 2 or 3 shows that are worth watching every tour.
With New Japan you have to be more informed to know which shows are worth it and which ones aren't. IMO, the BOSJ and G-1 Climax tournaments, along with every PPV they have is a must watch. Even though they don't always deliver big, you are gonna find at least 1 match that is a MOTYC or borderline.
With the death of megaupload, torrents and youtube/dailymotion are the best source for International wrestling. Everything worth a look is there. The thing is, you don't have to watch EVERYTHING. In puroresu's case, every card (most of the time) has at most 3-4 matches that could deliver so you don't need to sit through the whole 3 hours of every show.
