Story wise MK DA and MK Deception are the best. 3D era as a whole is just very well written.

Wish there was a way to play trilogy besides emulator, we need the entire series in a collection like they did with street fighter. That includes Shaolin Monks, maybe not the Jax game or Sub Zero lol
