Clearly the opening to On Her Majesty's Secret Service. A very genius way to introduce a new actor in the role and right off the bat, you can see the difference in physicality with Lazenby that you never really saw with Connery. The score goes brilliantly with him slumping those goons and at the very end the tongue-in-cheek Lazenby gives while breaking the 4th wall is the cherry on top which leads into the BEST TITLE TRACK of the Bond franchise.:ohlawd:

Thunderball & Casino Royale come a close second however.

I thought about majesty first...but that breaking the fourth wall shyt always bugs me :russ: like it's all perfect for me right up until that point

Thunderball is a personal favorite. John Barry's score, connery being coldblooded...damn i want to watch that right now

Well, at the time, replacing someone as iconic as Sean Connery, isn't something that was taken lightly at the time. I look at that 4th wall instance outside of the context of the film and was just an inside joke/ assurance specifically for those Bond fans not feeling the new guy and/or on the defensive.
Imagine if there was Internet back then; this film probably wouldn't have made it out of pre-production before Lazenby was replaced.
Every Bond film has these cringing instances that make you facepalm some, breh.:yeshrug:

You right, I just like them to keep those moments to a minimum. Like From Russia With Love minimum

C'mon, breh it was all of two seconds:mjlol:
After that, this film went full beast mode till the very end.

Another superb opening sequence was THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS :blessed:
The score right before the Russian antagonist cuts the 00's rope and the L he took falling to his demise, then cue the new 007 closeup.:obama:

:dead: at that Bond theme disco remix. Gets me every time.

Casino Royale or Spectre have my vote for best openings. Sucks that Spectre was such a shyt movie

I understandthe hate but I loved Spectre. It was cool to see Daniel Craig in a more classic Bond take

I had never seen any Bond films outside of Goldfinger. Decided to knock out all of them over a few weeks. Halfway in, I'd have to go with From Russia.
